North Rand Fire Services is a specialist SABS approved organisation with 33 years of experience. We received the highest 1 st party grading available – SANS 1475. Our technicians are SAQCC (South African Qualification & Certification Committee) certified competent in relation to SANS 1475 (The production of reconditioned fire-fighting equipment Part 1: Portable and wheeled / mobile rechargeable fire extinguishers & Part 2: Fire hose reels and above-ground hydrants) and SANS 10139 (Code of practice for design, installation, commissioning and maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems in non-domestic premises). NB In terms of the Occupational Health & Safety Act only SABS approved companies, who meet with the requirements of SABS / SANS 1475, are allowed to work on portable firefighting equipment.

In compliance with the Broad – Based Black Economic Empowerment (“B-BBEE”) Act (No.53 of 2003) and the Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (No.5 of 2000), we are a Level 1 – 135% BEE procurement recognition level.

We were the preferred service provider to implement and execute fire safety compliance and equipment at the World Summit for Sustainable Development (Ubuntu Village) and currently for all major facilities management companies, shopping malls, fire engineers / consultants, interior designers, banks and other.
